What do you want God to do for you?

Mark 10:51-52, ESV

And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” And the blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.” And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.

Matthew 7:7-8

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

Mark 11:24

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

John 14:13-14

And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me for anything in My name, I will do it.

James 1:5

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

1 John 5:15

And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

It’s time to ask.

These three words have been stirring in my spirit as this year has begun—ask, seek, petition.

So this week, we’ll just let the Word of God speak for itself.

God not only allows us to ask, He urges us to ask. He’s filled the pages of scripture with examples of men and women of God petitioning Him—and He’s filled the pages of scripture with instruction to petition Him.

So this week, ask.

Seek.

Petition.

And remember this: God is able to do far more abundantly than all we can ASK or think. To him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen!” (‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬-‭21‬)‬‬
