Trust God with Your Timeline
Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
This is such a well-known verse, but maybe someone just needed to be reminded of it today like I did.
Trust implies waiting—we don’t have to trust God for something we already have. So trust-building requires waiting.
Abraham waited 25 years between his promise and its fulfillment.
Joseph waited 22 years between his dream and its fulfillment.
Moses waited 40 years between his desire and its fulfillment.
David waited 15 years between his anointing and its fulfillment.
Paul waited 12 years between his calling and its fulfillment.
Your path may look crooked in your eyes, but it’s straight in God’s eyes.
Keep waiting, keep trusting, and keep walking. God’s got you where he wants you.
