Isaiah 54:10, NIV
Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.
Even the strongest and most seemingly steady things on earth can be shaken and moved—but the promises of God cannot.
Everything on earth is shakeable, except that which is spiritual.
I don’t know where you find yourself today, but if something you’ve stood on has been shaken or removed—something you never imagined would be—then remember these things:
the love of God is unshakeable and immovable
the peace of God is unshakeable and immovable
the compassion of God is unshakeable and immovable
This means that despite the shaking of even the “steadiest” things on earth, we can stand on these truths:
God loves us
God feels compassion for us
nothing can remove the peace of God from us unless we let it
Oh Lord, thank You—and give us the fortitude to stand on those things.
