God's Purpose Will Stand

Isaiah 14:24, ESV

The LORD of hosts has sworn: “As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand,

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭8‬-‭11,‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”

Isaiah 46:9b-11, ESV

for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’ calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.

I believe someone today just needs to be reminded that there has never been a day on planet earth in which God has not been sovereign and in charge. 

God has a plan. 

God has a purpose. 

All things have been and will be continually moving toward that plan and purpose—in the world and in your life. 

So be at peace. 

Read these scriptures everyday if you need to. Speak them out loud. 

Keep your heart pliable in the hands of God. Live your mission. And rest. 

God has the world. 

God has your life. 

God’s plan is unfolding.

God’s purpose will stand.
