A Message to My Generation

I’ve been pondering and processing with the Lord regarding the events which have unfolded over the past couple of weeks—and those which are continuing to unfold every day.

And there is a fire burning in my soul.

This is a message to my generation…

In early 2020, as covid-19 spread across our globe, I began to feel the deep onset of spiritual weightiness—that we were entering into a spiritually weighty era.

Not a season, an era.

As 2020 progressed, I became deeply grieved as I observed the weapons the enemy formed against an unsuspecting world—and an unsuspecting Church—prosper. Fear, accusation, deception, and division—they stole peace, joy, unity, and mission from the people of God.

This continued well into 2021, when church attendance and faith in America hit an all-time low. Experts believed that America was going to join Europe in becoming a post-Christian culture.

But God.

At the same time, I felt the Lord speak to me and say, “I am accelerating the processes in the next generation.”

And in 2021, the Lord whispered to my heart and said, “I am raising up a Hezekiah Generation because the next generation is standing at a precipice.”

Hezekiah—a young king who led a nation back to God.

And now, young people are leading NATIONS back to God.

2025 has been a year of intense spiritual warfare…and for good reason—it has also been a year of unprecedented increase in church attendance, Bible sales, and people coming to faith in Jesus. All across the globe. And all led by the next generation.

Not only is America NOT becoming a post-Christian nation, Christianity is exploding in America.

And, Christianity is exploding across the globe. Revival is happening all across the globe.

A great awakening is upon us.

If you’re listening to doomsday messages, then you’re listening to the wrong voices. We must fill our minds with the voices of those who will stir us up unto good works, those who are laboring in the harvest fields of the world.

This moment is not about any person or politics or party lines. This is not simply an emotionally charged moment that will be forgotten about in a month as certain images and videos fade from our feeds. This is a moment that has been bubbling up for years—a boiling point moment, heated by the fire of an almighty, sovereign God.

And it’s just beginning.

Two weeks ago, I received the following vision and word from the Lord:

I saw a Sunday school class…where some were engaged, but many were disengaged, bored, and complacent. Just like in any American church setting. But, there was a whirlwind coming—like a tornado, getting ready to blow through the room. It was going to mess everything up, but awaken a complacent people.

Then, I saw the waters of the ocean receding before a tidal wave, where things that were hidden in darkness on the ocean floor were exposed and laid bare before the wave came crashing in upon the land.

And this is what I felt like the Lord said...

“… this is the great calm before the storm…eerie and still, but with a knowing that something great is coming. Something powerful. It’s coming. This is the receding of the waters before the tsunami, exposing the floor of the ocean before the great wave hits. I am pouring out my Spirit like a tornado and a tsunami across the earth. This is a moment of preparation. The hearts of complacency will be rocked when the winds of my Spirit hit. That which has been exposed will be rocked by the wave of my presence. The wave of my Spirit. Structures will be torn down. It will wreck what has existed, but it will not be unto destruction, it will be unto a rebuilding. Watch and see. Get ready. It’s coming.”

Church, we are in the “last days.” We’re closer to the end every day. And, whether it’s days or decades, we are to live watchful that our Bridegroom could come at any moment.

So, my plea to my generation is this: Let’s live with our spiritual eyes wide open and get in the game. We don’t want to miss this moment.

The harvest is ripe. It’s time to pray for God to send workers. It’s time to pray for God to send YOU—to your neighbors, your co-workers, your kids, your kids’ friends. People need to see the things of God—peace, hope, love, etc.—at work in our lives.

Invite someone to dinner or coffee or church. Get straight to the point and ask them to tell you their story…then let the Holy Spirit lead from there. There are scores of young people out there desperate for—LONGING for—spiritual parents and grandparents. There are scores of adults out there desperate for—LONGING for—spiritual brothers and sisters and mentors.

If we have grown complacent, lukewarm, or distracted by the things of the world—if we are spending all of our free hours scrolling or bing-watching rather than opening the Word of God and sitting with our Savior—then we need to repent.

If our heart focuses on any person or people group as being our “enemy”—rather than our true enemy, who is not flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12)—then we need to repent.

If our heart desires any person other than “the deceiver who leads the whole world astray” (Revelation 12:9) to go to hell, then we need to repent.

Ask God to open your spiritual eyes. Answer His knock on your door for intimacy and communion if you’ve been ignoring it. There’s no time to waste. The harvest fields are brimming over.

Like David and Isaiah, we have to repent and cry out to God to purify our hearts and minds and mouths. Then we have to stand, raising our hands, and say, “here I am, God, send me!”

Psalm 51:10, ESV

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Isaiah 6:6-8, ESV

6Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.” 8And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”

Matthew 9:27-28, ESV

37Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Matthew 24:14, ESV

And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

What an amazing time to be alive. I don’t know about you, but I want to be a part of what God is doing in this moment in time.

I think you do too.

Oh Lord, purify our hearts, and send us!
