Genesis 17:19, ESV

God said, “No, but Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.

2 Corinthians 1:20, NIV

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

Ephesians 3:20, ESV

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,

When God says no, there will always be a but which follows—and that but will usher in something even better than we asked for, something beyond what we could ask or imagine.

Every no from God is a yes somewhere else.

So if you’re sitting in the “comma” after the “no” right now:)—if you’re in the middle, waiting to see what comes next—then be encouraged. The second part of the sentence will be revealed in the right timing.

It’s not a “no.”—it’s a “no, but.”

There’s a “yes” coming soon!
