Miracles Meet Needs
Psalm 37:5
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act.
As a Christian, life can seem like a bit of an oxymoron. We have the fleshly desire to live a life of comfortability—a life without need—while we also have the holy desire to grow in faith and experience the miraculous.
And here’s the oxymoronic part about it—rarely can we have both at the same time.
Just look at the stories in the Bible.
If we are needing to trust that God will act—if we are needing a miracle—then we are in a situation of need.
Seasons of comfortability will come in our lives, but those won’t be the seasons which bring about the most significant growth. Those won’t be the seasons in which we experience the greatest miracles.
The greatest miracles in our lives will come on the tail end of the greatest needs in our lives.
And those miracles are what build our faith.
This is why we can rejoice while in the midst of our struggles—because our struggles precede our miracles, and our miracles build our faith!
