Building Requires Bravery

1 Chronicles‬ ‭22:13‬ ‭(ESV‬‬)

Then you will prosper if you are careful to observe the statutes and the rules that the Lord commanded Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Fear not; do not be dismayed [shattered, discouraged].

1 Chronicles 28:20 (ESV)

Then David said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous and do it. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed [shattered, discouraged], for the LORD God, even my God, is with you. He will not leave you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be dismayed.

These things were said by God, by Moses, and by Joshua when the Israelites were facing their enemies to advance into the promised land.

AND these things were said by David to his son, Solomon, when he was charging him to build the temple for the Lord.

Building requires just as much bravery as battle.

So if God has called you to build something new today, just remember that He realizes it’s scary. Be strong and courageous, and don’t be discouraged. Just as God is with us to fight our battles, so He is with us to accomplish the things He calls us to build.
