Nothing Except...

2 Kings 4:2 (NIV)

Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?" “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”

Matthew 14:17 (NIV)

“We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.

Nothing except a jar of olive oil.

Nothing except five loaves and two fish.

Nothing except a staff (Exodus 7:14-20).

Nothing except an oxgoad (Judges 3:31).

Nothing except some barley bread and grain (2 Kings 4:42-44).

Our “nothing” is God’s starting point. Whatever we have in our hand right now is enough for God to work with right now. He takes our “little” and multiplies it. He takes our “little” and makes it mighty!
